WEATHERVANE: The Liberty Flag weathervane (above photo) sets off the roof jewelry. The Liberty Flag was sewn by Betsy Ross; Washington presented it to the Continental Congress. It is not only beautiful but also demonstrates respect for our country's heritage: the Boston Tea Party, Washington crossing the Delaware, and John Paul Jones naval heroics. With the Liberty Flag weathervane, you will be prepared ahead of time for Flag Day, Memorial Day, and the 4th of July. The flag moves in the direction of the wind.

ILLUMINATED CUPOLA: For added flair, illuminate the cupola in the evening by adding an automatic photo-sensor light kit. The kit works best with light colored bases and roofs. The darker colors negate the light effect. Hint: Select either a lighter color for both base and top or a darker base and a lighter top. Use of an extended life bulb is recommended.
     

Model 220 Cupola 20"x20" base. Recommended for buildings 18' to 24' in width. You may wish to use two when exceeding 30' in length, three when exceeding 50' in length. The red roof shown in the left photo is not a true color. See color chart below. 

The mast of the sailboat weathervane in the above photos is threaded and screws into the top of the cupola. Set the East/West directionals toward the rising and setting of the sun. An inexpensive compass will also suffice.

Color selections for Models 220, 320, and 420.
Colors may be mixed and matched in any combination of roof and base color. For example, you may have a red base and a white roof. Or, switch it around: a white base and a red roof.

Installation

SELECTING THE IDEAL MODEL SIZE
Proportions are important when choosing the ideal size cupola for your building. Generally, a cupola that has one inch of base width for every foot of uninterrupted roofline will provide a pleasing accent. For example a Model 220 (22"base) would look best on a 22' uninterrupted roofline. If possible, placing a similar sized cardboard box on the roofline and viewing it from the ground is another way to determine what size and location are best for your particular situation.

CHOOSING THE IDEAL NUMBER OF CUPOLAS
 Again, one inch of cupola base for every foot of uninterrupted roofline is a good guideline. For example, if you have 42' of uninterrupted roofline, you could install either one Model 420 (42" base) or two Model 220 (22" base).

INSTALLATION
The pricing includes installation when purchasing a Bradley model. Although the cupola is designed to better ventilate a building, it may be installed to merely sit on the roof as roof jewelry. This latter installation may be desired in a steel building when it is going to be heated or cooled. You may wish to speak to your salesperson concerning the installation. Note: When utilizing the lighting kit, an access hole is required for changing the bulb.
 

The Affordable Pricing

Pricing includes professional installation when purchasing a Bradley building. However, when purchasing either a cupola or weathervane without buying a building, the installation cost is taken off the price (ask your Bradley pro for details). Shipping within the continental United States is not included in the base price and varies by distance from the point of origin (see shipping map below).

When purchasing a weathervane for a shingle roof, an adjustable root mount base is included with each weathervane. Polyanna Cupolas accept a threaded mast.
